throughout history there have been people who have committed some of the most heinous crimes fathomable for those crimes have been convicted and sentenced to death……
The first-known Jew to be executed in Texas received a halahkic burial, due to the combined efforts of a Houston rabbi and a “spiritual adviser” with whom the death row inmate corresponded.
douglas alan feldman was executed in 2013 for killing two truck drivers he had no remorse
he only cried when he was found guilty and discovered he was sentenced to death.
he was executed in the state of Texas in 2013
douglas was born june 19th, 1958
he had a hard life growing up and was also diagnosed with bipolar
at a young age he got into trouble with the law,douglas had a texas youth commission record because of credit card abuse and drug possession.
he had been working at a shell gas station as a cashier when he took the credit card of a man named robbie harris
douglas used the credit card to make an unauthorized purchase, when robbie found out douglas used his card ,he tried to cut him a break ,because of douglas’s age.
he offered douglas the option of paying him back but douglas refused because he felt he did nothing wrong
robbie had no other choice but to report douglas’s crime,when he was released from the youth commission a day later , douglas was found in possession of marijuana and he was locked up again.
4 years later in 1978
douglas was convicted of aggravated robbery and narcotics possession
it was january 16, 1978, douglas walked into the willow creek pharmacy and requested aspecific type of tape from an emplyee by the name jen, when jen turned to get the tape,douglas assaulted her he then told her to lie down on the floor
another employee came and he was threatened as well , he had to get a variety of drugs for douglas and he had to fill all of the drugs in a bag.once the bag was full of prescription drugs , douglas fled the scene .
over the years douglas had many violent encounters with people and he was never afraid to threaten anyone with his gun or let off warrning shots to scare people,he would often physically assault people and was always getting into trouble .
in december of 1996 douglas was driving his land rover out of a parking lot and he slightly crashed into a man named james brantley who was driving his 1984 firebird
douglas chose not to stop and provide his information ,instead he continued driving, james followed douglas and when douglas noticed he was being followed, he kept break checking james, finally the two cars stopped.
dougls fot out of his car with a hammer ,came up to james’s firebird and started smashing it, after smashing the hood of the car he went up to the driver’s side of the car and assaulted james with the hammer.
he demanded that james stop following him or he would kill him,douglas got back to his car but before driving off ,he drove his car in reverse carshing into the firebird once more.
james reported douglas and the police caught up with douglas a couple of days later courts were involved and douglas had to pay james over $ 6,000 .
another incident occrurred in may of 1988, douglas was hungry so he drove to a keller’s hamburger fast food location, a women by the name of donn a mc elroy took douglas’s order and then brought the food to his car.
the payment was supposed to be given after the food had been received but douglas told donna that he did not have his wallet to pay for the food, donna said that douglas would be unable to keep his food.
angered by this ,douglas began to reach for something in his car which frightened donna causing her to back up.
instead of getting what he was reaching for , douglas decided to drive his cat towards donna ramming into her , making her fly about 20 ft away , he even went a step further and ran her over,despite losing her teeth and suffering a concussion, donna survived this horrific incident
august 1998
a few months later on the evening of august 24th ,1998, douglas was ridning his motorcycle out in the city , all of a sudden ,rober everett a man driving a 18- wheeler passed douglas and then got right in front of him in his lane.
douglas felt disrespected and he did not like the fact that the 18 -wheeler was inches away from crushing his left hand
short tempered douglas still riding his motorcycle mind you , pull out his firearm and shot into the back of the 18-wheeler multiple times
when douglas ran out of bullets ,he reloaded his gun pulled up alongside the driver’s side of the truck and fired multiple shots directly at robert everett,unfortunately robert lost his life.
douglas drove up to where the truck had stopped not to check if robert was okay but to make sure that he was dead.
when the death was confirmed ,douglas drove off.
douglas ‘s intention’s were to head home but he decided to pull over and head to the exxon service station ,douglas pulled into the Exxon about 45 minutes after he had killed robert
and he was about 11 miles away from the crime scene as well .
now as douglas was pulling into the Exxon there was an Exxon tanker truck driver by the name of nicholas velasquez who was refilling the gas supply for the station.
douglas for no reason, randomly decided to kill mr nicholas velasquez by shooting him two times in the back
after killing two people that night , douglas went home as if nothing happened and he was not apprehended by the law either .
a week went by and douglas was still living life as a free man ….
a little over a week after douglas killed robert and nicholas , he decided to drive out in the community for a bite to eat
he drove to alocal jack in the box but something or someone angered him to the point that he felt he needed to use his firearm again,he shot a man by the name of antonio while he was standing outside of the jack in the box, thankfully antonio suvived being shot but once again douglas got away
this time there were witnesses though and one witness wrote down douglas’s license plate number and gave it to the police.
authorities were finally able to catch up with douglas,when he was arrested he was found with counterfeit bills, two firearms,and over 200 rounds of ammunition.
while douglas was locked up police tested the weapons they found with douglas, they ended up discovering that one of the weapons and the shell casings found at all three crime scenes douglas was nvolved in m atched.
because of this ,douglas was tried for two counts of first -degree murder,douglas admitted to killing robert and nicholas.
and he said that his anger stemmed from his traffic altercation with robert everett he killed and attempted to kill because he was unable to forgive robert everett.
before douglas’s trial began he reconnected with an ex by the name of elizabeth Garcia whom he lived with for about 7 years in the 80s.
although they did not keep in touch after they broke up,finding out that douglas was locked up for murder picked elizabeth’s interest, not only they speak on the phone but they exchanged nultiple letters about 80 to be exact
in some of those letters,douglas confided in Elizabeth that he enjoyed killing robert and nicholas and he would prefer to see even more people get shot.
he had fantasies about going to different stores in the Dallas area and shooting any person that made him angry,he admitted to wanting to kill police officers who pulled him ovver for traffic violations
and he had come close to killing other truck drivers before he had killed robert, people who disturbed his quiet deserve to die and have their corpses desecrated in his mind.
in one letter wich was presented during his trial said that he believed murder should not be illegal and killing humans should be the same as hunting game animals .
” i will tell you this,i found it quite pleasurable to kill those two men,if you are an angry person and someone provokes you to violence,it feels wonderful to cause their death and to wach they pain
after the adrenaline is gone the sense of satisfaction and personal accomplishment is also gone,i’ve come to hate every single person on this planet with all of my heart and soul,
if i had a button which would kill every single person on this planet , i would push it with no hesitation whatsoever”

a year after being indicted for capital murder charges , douglas was convicted on august 25th 1999 and the jury recommended that douglas begiven the death penalty
on august 31 , 1999 a judge agreed aged with the recommendation and douglas was officially sentenced to death by method of lethal injection
over the years douglas tried to appeal his case but all his appeals were denied,he was scheduled to die on july 31 st 2013 in the state of Texas
both of the victim’s families were present for the execution and they had to sit through hearing douglas’s final statement;
55 year old douglas began
” i hereby declare robert steven everett and nicholas velasquez guilty of crimes against me,douglas alan feldmaneither by fact or by proxy i find them both guilty
i hereby sentence both of them to death which i carried in august of 1998, as of that time the state of Texas has been holding me illegally in confinement and by force for 15 years ,i hereby protest my pending execution and demand immediate relief “
well,his demand was of couse not heard and he was pronounced dead 14 minutes minutes later
