something was not right….
it’s an early summer idyll.
it felt like nothing bad could happen here.
“the police found a deceased person during the evening.and most likely it is the missing lisa holm”
a girl who disappears in the countryside.it grabs hold of people
a fantastic wonderful place,a fantastically wonderful place, the foot of kinnekulle, the southern part with a wonderful view of the Vänern.
and café in this magazine
maria J homlgren“then lisa holm disappears. she leaves her work, walks around the corner and is gone.”
a brilliant girl, exactly as you want girls to be, young girls, young people of that age, who have that natural drive.glowing to be able to work, to be able to take care of and deliver.
as well as a helicopter, horses and about ten dog patrols were deployed today in the massive search effort around Blomberg on Kinnekulle where 17-year-old Lisa Holm disappeared on Sunday evening.
on a Sunday in June 2015, the eyes of all of Sweden are directed towards the small community of Blomberg on Västgötska’s Kinnekulle
after a workplace at the local café, 17-year-old lisa holm disappears without a trace on her way home to skövde.
the girls were happy and happy. they could have put away and cleaned up a little before.it had been a busy day.many guests.lena was impressed that they had made it this far before closing time. it made lena wonder that lisa hadn’t come home yet
she had left the cafe just after six and has an hour to get home on a moped. she should have been home.something was not right.
lisa holm’s father gets worried when lisa is late, he goes to meet her. when he finally arrives at the cafe, her moped is still there.
the keys are in the ignition, but lisa has disappeared.
the media quickly becomes aware of the case and intensive surveillance begins.
pelle Larsson:”I was surprised that there were so many policemen, we had thought that it was something serious even before we went up. but that image was reinforced when we saw the police raid, they stopped cars, there were policemen everywhere.that there was something…
maria J homlgren:...We were pretty sure of that
this started on sunday evening, or night.
LARS JOHANSSON :“then it was handled by the local police area in Lidköping.they did the initial stuff, had sent dog patrols there and searched. Spring’s first contact will be in the morning. they were talking about a missing girl.
at eleven o’clock someone from the local police area called us and said: “this doesn’t seem good. the serious crimes group might have to take over.”
there were many question marks.did it have any connection to the father’s work?had she run off with a boyfriend?is there a game going on?after all, there was this 24-, 48-, 72-hour game where you try to stay away from your parents.but nothing like that was found on lisa.
the first track came on Monday morning.a glove was found in the barn, which the police did not know why it was there.because it had been very windy on Kinnekulle that Sunday.
it was a storm bordering on a hurricane.the police thought at first that the glove had blown into the barn, but when they checked the wind directions and stuff, it was impossible.but it was a little way into the barn.it was the first track after lisa.
it took off very quickly – the media came from everywhere. and people came from everywhere.everyone wanted to help.
there were police cars, helicopters.dog patrols…it was very surreal to be in this environment.
the police worked on it as a natural disappearance, but over time.as the days went by, you understood that something had happened. this is not good.that something had happened, but the police still had to find Lisa somehow.
the police changed the crime classification from wrongful deprivation of liberty to kidnapping, in order to gain access to the “big toolbox” and go in and request information from different quarters
on tuesday, the police and the relatives decide to publish a photo of lisa. public and media engagement is exploding.
the external operations were out looking for lisa
the commissioner had a discussion with the father about going out with a picture, it’s difficult to say in a traffic control: “have you seen a girl?”they wanted something concrete and then they were allowed to use the image that became so widespread.
lena, the cafe owner, could not stay at home, but went back to the bakery. Then she saw the media all over the place full of journalists.which Lena fully understood.
“Here I have to show up and be helpful, everyone can do something in some way,” thought Lena.
on tuesday the first real trace of lisa is found.a mobile phone case is identified by the relatives.
it is on a dirt road a few hundred meters from the cafe.
more things were found along this path.
It was a little confusing.why are they spread out like this?
has lisa tried to throw stuff out to form a trail? is someone trying to mislead the search patrols.are you trying to attract them to some other place? than what you were looking for.
it was a lot of things that the police and those who led the external search were thinking about
the search effort is further intensified.during the latter part, Avon’s day, there is a breakthrough in the investigation.
a discovery in the barn opposite the café sheds new light on the case.
in the evening it was an acquaintance of the father’s who came there and lit the barn, in a side room. that’s when he saw something that shone and it was one of lisa’s earrings.
then the barn became super current again.
the police understood that it was a crime scene.
the search effort reaches its fourth day, the police have called for lisa internationally via interpol. and now the police’s perpetrator profile group has also arrived to support the investigation.
the offender profiling group asked if they could come and look at the case.– the police had contact with a lot of units.they came down and the police sat down and went through the case. The police then got a lot of points on what they thought of the case.there were three in particular that the police attached themselves to.
it should be a perpetrator who is reasonably familiar with the area.the perpetrator may have some connection to the barn because otherwise one would not move a victim from the scene of the crime or the place of disappearance.
then some emphasis was placed on the pile of excrement in the barn. it is often the case with perpetrators that they get adrenaline rushes and find it difficult to hold back.
that was probably what they got from the perpetrator profile group
the barn opposite the cafe where lisa works is owned by a local landowner, who has been for three years.has two Lithuanian brothers employed as craftsmen.
the brothers have during this period carried out work in the barn.where Lisa’s moped glove and earring are found.
on a sunday in june 2015, all of sweden’s eyes are on the small community of blomberg on västgötska’s kinnekulle, after a shift at the local cafe, 17-year-old lisa holm disappears without a trace on her way home to skövde.missing people have been called in during the afternoon.
missing people have been called in during the afternoon.the desire to help is great.the police have received hundreds of tips and the disappearance has aroused strong emotions.
it is a rural village where everyone cares about everyone.and everyone knows someone who knows someone, in a different way than in the big city
missin people hade 3.000 sökare samanlagt under tre dagar.
one of missing people’s biggest efforts so far is the search for lisa holm.when lisa has been missing for almost five days, the search effort has reached the farm martorp, a couple of kilometers from the café.also a regular haunt for the two Lithuanian craftsmen.
on Friday, June 12, the missing people search will continue, as in the days before.in the afternoon, there is a patrol that has been given the segment around the yard. where they are.they come to a residential building.
there the patrol is met by a guy whom they find unpleasant and almost threatening.and what he says is roughly: “you don’t need to be here. here it has already been searched and searched. so you can leave here.”
it is the older of the brothers, Nerijus Bilevicius, whom Missing People encounters and who claims that the area has already been searched.he says that he and his brother are in martorp to dig worm for a fishing trip.
the patrol makes contact with the police at the liaison center and they ask the missing people to go another way and continue in their search area
missing people then take the side of the house.they look down, where they then see a pile of rice and in this pile of rice, which is collected down there.
they see that there is something tucked into the pile of rice. and when it gets closer, they discover that it is Lisa’s moped helmet.the jacket was a special type, so it was clearly her jacket.
in connection with that, these two people disappear from the scene.
and this is then reported to the police, who think it is strange behaviour.
the reason why the police brought them in for questioning in the evening was because we wanted to hear their version. they had a connection to blomberg, which was interesting, when compared to what the perpetrator profile group said and their behavior on the spot.
there were good reasons to bring these people in for questioning
Nerijus Bilevicius, his wife and his brother are brought in for questioning.among other things because of the traces of Lisa in the barn opposite the cafe. where the brothers worked.the findings of Lisa’s jacket and helmet cause the police to be called to Martorp to secure the traces that exist and search the rest of the area.
right by this pile of rice there is a work shed the detective asks if missing people have been inside it. and no – but they are not allowed to enter buildings. it is private property.
then it was discovered that the grass that had grown up was stuck in the door, so someone had been inside the work shedthere was overgrowth in front, so there was no way to the door.
there was overgrowth in front, so there was no way to the door.it lay a little down and then it sat a little in the door.
then we felt that we had to come in and have a look.
and when the forensic technician opens the door, she smells a smell that she recognizes.–
something has died in here.
forensic technician looks over the space.she’s going to look through all the cabinets
there was a tantalum cabinet.one of which was open.
there were a number of lockers, one of which was open
there was what looked like a pile of clothes.
so the forensics technician thought she would check the other cabinets.it is more likely that there is someone there.but there was none in either of them
the last thing the forensic technician did was lift the pile of clothes a little and then she saw Lisa.
-so that was the last space you could imagine inside the shed ….that she was actually in?
forensics technician -yes .the least likely space. it was far too small, both the cabinet and the height…
in the last cabinet Lisa was found, pressed.
the police found a deceased person during the evening.most likely it is the missing lisa holm.next of kin are informed. she has been found in the previous current search area by police.a technical investigation is underway.it’s supposed to last all night.
there was a tense atmosphere with the serious crime group, they had focused on finding Lisa alive.
“a large fit man whose back says police sits shaking and crying behind an outbuilding. a pale white technician stares hollow-eyed into nothingness and a dog handler has drilled his face into the dog’s fur.the place is chinnekulle and a while ago the news about Lisa came”
the police met colleagues who had been involved and a summons was issued.the feeling was that the air ran out.it felt tragic…that such a young girl would not be allowed to live on.
on Friday evening, June 12 at 9:10 p.m., Lisa Holmes’ body is found with a rope around her neck and tape around her head. more than five days of intensive searching has come to an end
now the big question remained: who had brutally killed a 17-year-old girl and why.
when Nerijus Bilevicius is arrested together with his wife and his brother in connection with Lisa holm being found, his legal representative is Inger Rönnebäck.later in the process, Björn Hurigt is his lawyer.
“I am very critical of the police investigation. It is messy.the same images reappear in different places in the preliminary investigation.it makes it difficult to manoeuvre. the interrogations are rather poorly conducted.the interrogations with the suspects, there were three of them from the beginning – are very poorly conducted.many, many important investigative technical measures have been missed.”
a comprehensive puzzle is now starting to be put together.
an extensive puzzle is now beginning to be put together with the testimonies and finds that exist.
exactly what happens the hour after lisa leaves work, only her killer knows.
but the following is known for sure: lisa and two colleagues close the café sometime around 6:20 pm then lisa rounds the house knot on one side of the café where her mope stands.
at 6:22 p.m. Lisa’s father receives a text message from his daughter that reads: “Now” which means she needs to go home.
just five minutes later, at 18.26 pm the father is called by lisa in what is believed to be an unconscious call. where he hears the daughter say: “it’s done” he also hears someone in the background, but not whether it is a man or a woman.
in the case of several witness statements during this time, it is above all three that the police attach importance to, as these, among other things, point out a car that resembles or matches the rickety VW that Nerijus bilevicius owns
Around 18.45 a man passes the cafe and claims to see a grayish car standing at the entrance to the barn.
around 19:00 a couple is passed by a silver-grey car with Lithuanian registration plates, which is driving at high speed towards Martorp.
about 19;30, another couple who live in the area is passed by a car which they confidently point out as Bilevicus’ VW
in the direction of the queue towards the Lithuanians’ residence.their description of the driver matches Nerijus.
in the police interrogation, Nerijus’s wife and brother give each other an alibi for the time around Lisa’s disappearance, exactly when Nerijus is at home, they are both unsure of
none of them give nerijus a definitive alibi
only after 19:35 do you know for sure that Nerijus is home
when a skype conversation with his mother is registered, even the interrogation with Nerijus makes the police confused.
when a skype conversation with his mother is registered, even the interrogation with Nerijus makes the police confused.
from the beginning he probably didn’t have that much. He tried to claim that he had been at home when Lisa disappeared.
But the interrogation didn’t quite match what the brother and wife said.the police understood that he has somehow influenced them to say certain things.
and the more the interrogation went on, the more the stories diverged.that’s why the police asked the prosecutor to remand all three of them.
Pretty soon the brother and wife are released but Nerijus Bilevicius is kept.
during the technical examination, one finds,
among other things, a number of trace sperm from Nerijus Bilevicius.
from the walls and floor, at one end of the barn
mainly around a window facing the cafe’s entrance. He didn’t want to say anything about this
but above all you find several DNA matches from Bilevicius on Lisa Holm’s clothes.
s
The DNA traces are partly the traces inside the barn. on pipes, blood traces, also on different ropes, different rope.both individually nerijus, but also in combination with lisa in the barn.
there are DNA traces on Lisa’s clothes at the find down there.a lot around trousers
and also on the jacket.there was a lot of DNA traces.
Police interrogation with Bilevicius.
transcript between bilevcius and detective with Lithuanian translator
Bilevicius : what a shame to tell you I know nothing.
detective: considering the hit results, I find it hard to believe that you don’t know.
Bilevicius : jag har ingen aning.
-I can understand that you think the way you do. The problem is that you haven’t finished thinking.namely, you find DNA traces from my client on clothes at Lisa’s.DNA traces from my client can be found on small lace socks among the DNA.no DNA from my client is found on lisa’s body or on the items used to kill her.
the tape around her face, no DNA.
the rope around her neck – no DNA.
-it is no wonder that there is no .a body in decay secretes a liquid. that liquid is small… it is not good when you want to scratch DNA. but it can overflow and destroy the traces.there is a possibility that there is no DNA on this.but in any case, we didn’t find any DNA on those pieces because it’s the case that… the body had been in the heat for a whole week and then it becomes a natural decay process, that’s a possible explanation for why it’s not there.
however, there is a DNA match that puzzles the investigators. Traces of Nerijus Bilevicius’s wife are found on Lisa’s panties
transcript between bilevcius and detective with Lithuanian translator
bilevicius:I have never met this girl in my life.
on 23 October 2015, charges were brought against Nerijus bilevicius.he continues to deny ever having met lisa
the defense is trying to paint a scenario with other perpetrators.
an explanation for my kient’s blood being on lisa’s clothes, i think could be to have carried the body.the blood traces are on the pants as they would be if you were carrying someone and take the pants if they are down. that could explain why his DNA is where it is. – that he has handled pants and jacket and so on, for someone else.helped.
Björn;I have as support that they found DNA from their client’s wife on Lisa Holm’s panties.then the court has said that my client has transferred the wife’s DNA via himself to Lisa holm.but it is a mixed DNA.
the main part is from lisa, the smaller part from the wife, and that probably indicates that it is their DNA.
-one track puzzled us.the wife’s DNA was on lisa’s panties.bi had a story from the wife, she had been away for a week and they had had intercourse when she came home.she washed before intercourse, but never afterwards, she said.it is possible that he had secretions from her left on his fingers.that was the working hypothesis around it.
as for the brother’s possible involvement, DNA or other traces from him are completely missing – with one exception: the roll of tape and a small piece of tape found in the barn.
both the district court and the court of appeal think that it is a natural thing that both the brothers’ DNA is on the tape roll as both have worked there.it is not a stupid objection, it is a wise reasoning.
the only problem is that you find a small piece of tape two minutes from the tape roll that is smeared with lisa holm’s DNA.
it indicates that it has been used in connection with a battle one has cried or something like that.and that piece of tape is then sent to the NFC. (National Forensic Center) you brush it and so on, and you find DNA from the brother.
why why is it so important?yes, because there are two pieces of tape, sort of over Lisa’s nose and mouth and a long piece of tape around her head.
the pieces of tejp over nose and mouth fit together. the long piece fits togetherbut these two do not fit together with the long piece. there is a piece missing.
but these two don’t fit with the long piece .it took a bit.but these two don’t fit together with the long piece. it’s taken off a piece. and there’s a small piece, so, if it’s gone bad when you have it… you tear it off and get a piece left over, which you throw aside.it is there and has also been seized.
-I can understand the reasoning, but it’s a bit too much of a … coincidence, if I may put it that way.for it to be as they claim.
it’s nothing strange , it’s their workplace .the piece of tape is not even found near where we think lisa was assaulted .it’s at the other end of the barn .and both brothers have said they make power tools with that tape .it would be strange if there wasn’t DNA from the brother on it.We didn’t take that too seriously.
the coroner’s statement in combination with technical evidence, witness statements and other circumstances means that a picture of a reasonable course of events is emerging.
somehow they have managed to lure Lisa across the road.it’s trafficked, so I don’t believe he dragged Lisa over without luring her. When she enters the barn, she is assaulted. They rip off her helmet and pull off her jacket. They tape her over for the first timethe mouth.then they transport her 50 meters to the other part of the barn
to another part of the barn, to the milking room, where they hang her in the pipe with the ropes.
the theory is that lisa is unconscious when she is hanged. corroborated by the lack of dust scraping and other marks
on the wall next to the pipe, which a struggling person would leave.
there he taped him further there again, because the tape is outside the rope.in that situation when she is deceased he has to collect his car.then he takes the roll of tape with him and puts it in the box outside this room.
he takes his helmet and jacket with him and throws it into the car.
he drives around the barn and into it, loads Lisa and drives to mortorp
which way bilevicius is unclear.but don’t know if he spills all of Lisa’s belongings on the way to Martorp or if it is done afterwards
at Martorp you drag the body into this galley
when you go back to the car, you discover that the helmet and jacket are still there.you don’t want to go into the galley again,
so then you throw them in the pile of rice which you know will be burned.
polisen ka inte säga att det var så , men det är ett möjligt scenario.
that Lisa must have been placed in the work shed at a later stage
than the night she disappears, the coroner considers to be excluded, through examinations of, among other things, the body’s rigidity
the police think he is in some kind of sexual glass cup where he wants something done. and then the police think he took the opportunity when he saw a lonely girl.
it could have been anyone.it didn’t have to be Lisa.
another girl with a moped had left there only 15 -20 minutes before. so the police dry that he took the opportunity.
so if the police call it planned or not .but that’s what the police think is the case.
it was life imprisonment for the 35-year-old man from Lithuania who is accused of murdering 17-year-old Lisa Holm this summer.the man must be deported and pay damages to the holm family.
Skaraborg district court sentences Nerijus Bilevicius for the murder of Lisa Holm on 17 November 2015.the motive is, according to experts, sexually relatedeven if Lisa was not subjected to any rape
but Bilevicius’ tooth makes the question “why?”remain unanswered.
lawyer Björn Hurtig, however, thinks that Nerijus’ brother has been dismissed as an alternative perpetrator too easily.
–yes, I have been quite open about it in my submission as well.In any case, I point in the direction of the brother.without saying that it was him, I say that you should think about it.
the important thing is to say that there are traces from more than Nerijus, on parts essential for the purpose, from other people.then you cannot rule out another perpetrator
-I can say this when asked if I am sure it is him: we have produced a preliminary investigation report which the prosecutor has deemed sufficient for prosecution.he is convicted in the district court and the court of appeal.what I believe and so on, I keep that to myself.
– there is a unique place here and that is the Lisa tree.
it’s a Japanese cherry tree that blooms around this time of year.we chose it because it blooms around the time when lisa disappears. and it is the third season now and it has bloomed so beautifully this year as well.
