Around 4 a.m. on February 17, 2014, DEA agents and Mexican marines launched an operation to capture Sinaloa cartel leader Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán. They had tracked El Chapo to a safe house in the city of Culiacán, and the raid began when the marines started hammering on his front door with a battering ram.

the  footage shows  law enforcement pursuing El chapo and discovering his escape route.

here ,  mexican   marines struggle to break through a reinforced steel door at one of chapo’s safe house  in  Culianan.it took them about 10 minutes  to break through a door at the house where chapo was hiding.

this as enough time for him to escape through a tunnel under his bathtub.

this is what DEA gent victor vasquez saw when the mexican marines finally broke down the door and got inside chapo’s house.

he walks into the bathroom connected to the master bedroom  to find the tube propped up ,revealing chapo’s hidden escape tunnel.

at another chapo safe house , the DEA and marines forced one of chapo’s workers to show how to open the bathtub. he plugs  a wire into an electrical outlet ,triggering hydraulics that popt the lid tothe tub ,realing a tunnel.

 another video shows the inside of the safe hosue where chapo was staying when he escaped through the bathtub tunnel 

a witness who was with chapo testified that he was naked at the time.

 this shows a cache of weapons found inside one of chapo’s sage houses.his favorite pistol is engraved with  his initial .”JGL.”  encrusted in diamonds.
