Hours before his death, a famous actor reportedly told his mother that people might kill him. After he died, the questions surrounding those words only became harder to ignore.
On September 11, 2025, Chinese actor Yu Menglong was found dead outside a residential complex in Beijing after falling from a high-rise building.
Authorities ruled his death accidental, but the speed of the investigation, his reported final messages, and the disappearance of online discussions about the case fueled intense public suspicion.
Many of the theories that followed remain unverified.
No official police files have been reopened for actor Yu Menglong, and Kris Wu was arrested back in 2021 rather than recently.
Actual Arrest: Former pop star Kris Wu was detained and formally arrested by Beijing police in July 2021 on rape charges.
Sentencing: He received a prison sentence of 13 years in late 2022 and is currently serving that time before eventual deportation to Canada.
Death Rumors: Recent internet rumors claiming he died in prison or faced a new arrest were officially debunked and denied by Chinese authorities.
