In Landover, Maryland, the police were called to the home of a woman on . She lives there with her two daughters, her boyfriend, and her mother, a 71-year-old woman.
Though the elderly grandmother had health issues and struggled to walk, the neighbors often spotted her outside of the house. Around this time, however, she seemed to have vanished. When one observer detected a foul odor coming from the home, and noticed blood and tissue beside three trash bags left outside of the home, they notified 911.
