The DeCavalcante crime family ran New Jersey’s underworld for over five decades, and their story is widely cited as the real-life inspiration behind HBO’s The Sopranos.
This documentary traces the rise of boss Simone “Sam the Plumber” DeCavalcante, the FBI wiretaps that exposed the family’s inner workings, and the power struggles, betrayals, and federal indictments that followed.
