On May 30, 2012, 19-year-old Brittney Wood walked out of her mother’s home in South Alabama. She was never seen again. What followed became a complicated investigation involving family members, conflicting accounts, a suspicious death, disputed evidence and years of unanswered questions.
Brittney was last seen near her uncle’s property at Styx River. Just days later, her uncle Donnie Holland was found with a gunshot wound and later died. Investigators focused on the circumstances surrounding his death and his possible connection to Brittney’s disappearance. Over the years, investigators and Brittney’s family pursued numerous leads, including searches of properties and attempts to determine what happened during the final hours of her life.
In 2020, authorities searched a Grand Bay property for possible evidence, but the search produced no discovery of Brittney. This documentary examines the timeline, the people surrounding the case, the evidence that emerged over the years and the questions that remain unanswered.
