U.S. Army sergeant Tyrone Hassel III‘s life was tragically cut short on December 31, 2018, when he was gunned down outside his father’s home in Sumpter Township, Michigan. The 23-year-old soldier was home visiting family to ring in the New Year when the unthinkable happened. In a heart-wrenching 911 call, his wife can be heard sobbing, “I need help. My husband was shot,” as Hassel lay lifeless on the driveway.
